What is MetaGear?

Inspired by the famous TV show, Robot Battle, MetaGear is a simulation combat blockchain-based game where you assemble robots and fight against worthy opponents. It is a strategic product of OnePad and OneSoft, making it one of the top NFT games created by Vietnamese talents.

As of writing, MetaGear is now preparing for its game release on Web and Android devices. Its NFT Auction as well as the Quickfight (PVP) and Campaign game modes are also in the works and will be available this month.

MetaGear’s gameplay

MetaGear takes you to the year 2035, where you play as Tom, who inherited his father’s passion for crafting and manufacturing robots. Later he found his father’s unfinished robot blueprint and decided to complete the machine. Your goal is to help Tom level up this robot and win tournaments.

A maximum of 250,000 Genesis Machines with eternal durability can be minted by players. These Genesis Machines will be used to play the game. Machine Parts can be assembled and used in battles unless their durability stats dropped to Zero. You will need to use materials such as Gold, Green Mat, Purple Mat, and Yellow Mat to upgrade and increase the index Machine Parts.

As with its name, MetaGear, the objective of the game is to fully assemble a machine called a Gear to defeat your opponents. A complete Gear consists of 4 main parts: Chassis, Weapons, Gadgets, and Wheels. Take a look at how each of them functions within the game:

• Chassis: The Chassis serves as the main body of your machine. It comes with different shapes, slot positions, and features.
• Weapons: Your Chassis’ Weapons will determine your machine’s ability to cause damage, which will depend on its rarity and level. You can use Melee or Ranged weapons, both have different damage stat per second (DPS) and attacking features.
• Gadgets: To help your machine get more special abilities and boost its stats, you can use Gadgets such as a Backpedal, First-aid kit, Lifter, Booster, Harpoon, Repulse, and Forklift.
• Wheels: Wheels are used to help your machine move forward or backward as well as supply the machine with HP.

There are 4 Gear rarity levels: Common, Rare, Mythic, and Legendary. The higher your rarity level is, the greater your fighting ability will be. Assembling these Gears is quick and easy. All you have to do is to pick a Chassis then choose other parts such as Gadgets, Weapons, and Wheels to complete the Gear.

When it comes to gameplay, MetaGear does not require complicated operations, making new players join quickly. Although players can easily join, winning still requires a lot of time and brainstorming to ensure rewarding and challenging gameplay.
